Measuring concentration of potassium ions

If I dissolve potassium bitartrate in water I could measure the concentration of dissociated hydrogen ions for the weak acid easily: ph paper, indicator solutions, one of those expensive electric ph meters that has a probe with pores small enough for hydrogen ions but not other ions. But how would I measure the concentration of potassium ions (assuming there are some)? (I'm not likely to do it, I'm just curious how it would be done.) Thank you.
