editMeasuring concentration of potassium ions
editIf I dissolve potassium bitartrate in water I could measure the concentration of dissociated hydrogen ions for the weak acid easily: ph paper, indicator solutions, one of those expensive electric ph meters that has a probe with pores small enough for hydrogen ions but not other ions. But how would I measure the concentration of potassium ions (assuming there are some)? (I'm not likely to do it, I'm just curious how it would be done.) Thank you. - The obvious search term returned this https://www.vernier.com/product/potassium-ion-selective-electrode/ Greglocock (talk) 06:25, 12 March 2022 (UTC)
- And we have the article Ion-selective electrode I now see. Cool! RJFJR (talk) 16:37, 12 March 2022 (UTC)
