Question about Subway Gift Card

edit

If my friend in New Zealand sends me a Subway gift card, can that card work in Canada? 2001:569:7D9A:1300:5C42:207E:8050:BCD2 (talk) 05:48, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You would probably get a more reliable answer from your local Subway (restaurant) (assuming you mean the "restaurant") than from anyone here. Shantavira|feed me 06:09, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Google indicates at least three of them in the Vancouver area. --←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots08:32, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
One little issue may be that the balance on a Card from New Zealand will be stored in New Zealand dollars, not Canadian dollars – although they will convert between USD and CAD.[1] Subways' FAQ on Subway Gift Card states: "While the majority of Subway® restaurants accept Subway® Cards for payment, we cannot guarantee acceptance of your Card at all Subway® Restaurant locations because Subway® restaurants operate as independent franchises. Please contact our Customer Service Helpdesk at 877-697-8222 for further assistance."[2]  --Lambiam 12:55, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The company's web site [3] indicates Canadian gift cards are also valid in the U.S. (and presumably the other way around), but does not mention other countries. I expect that the situation is rare enough that there is no procedure to redeem other foreign cards in Canada. However, the page I linked includes a "contact us" box, so you can try that if you want to make sure. Xuxl (talk) 14:10, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
G'day, I'm from New Zealand. No, they will not work in Canada. Says so in the T's & C's. More info here. X-750 Rust In Peace... Polaris 21:25, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
