Death of Sushant Singh Rajput

The Wikipedia article Death of Sushant Singh Rajput has lately received huge amounts of input from Indian people who are fiercely attacking Wikipedia because they claim his death was not a suicide. Why is this such a big thing? What is so special about Sushant Singh Rajput? JIP | Talk 13:13, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

Not only well known, but much loved by his many admirers. Hinduism has a damning view of suicide; quoting from our article, "suicide is generally frowned upon and is considered equally sinful as murdering another in contemporary Hindu society". Many simply do not believe that their idol committed suicide, and see stating this as a fact as defiling his memory.  --Lambiam 17:54, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

So all this makes me think that if Sushant Singh Rajput's death really was a suicide (which I don't know, because I wasn't there), we'll be seeing no end of this, because no amount of evidence will convince his Indian admirers. JIP | Talk 23:07, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

Best Pet for Eradicating Rats

Hi. My family member has rats coming into or living in her house. I advised her to get a cat, but she thinks getting a dog (specifically a rat terrier) would be more helpful. I have always heard that rodents stay away from houses where cats live because they don't like the smell of them. My family member already has a dog who has been useless in addressing the rat problem. What type of pet would offer the most rat repellant environment (whether through hunting or just by existing in the space)?
