- Like elsewhere in Canada, British Columbia's fiscal year starts on April 1st, so the budget should normally be presented in the preceding weeks (i.e. late February, early March). I see the 2020 budget was on February 18th, so the next one should come on a similar date. There is no date fixed by law; it's a decision of the government in place when they present a budget.
