Would using the same devices that are used for tattoo removal work for removing white scars? Futurist110 (talk) 07:13, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article on Tattoo removal explains how the laser system works. As that involves breaking down the ink pigments into minute particles that the body can then remove, I don't see how it could do anything about scars which contain no coloured substances for the laser to work on. There are laser treatments for reducing scars, but the process is different, and involves burning off a layer of skin to allow regrowth (see Scar) Wymspen (talk) 11:46, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I specifically went to a facial plastic surgeon and asked about this. He said that it would make the scar puff up in the short term and look just as bad if not worse in the long term. The only solution he offered me is to carefully cut the scar open, trim the scar from the opening, and do a much better job of closing it to try and make a smaller scar. But, I'm now a teacher. Having a big jagged scar that cuts down from the top of my forhead, over my eye, and down to my jaw helps. I never have students give me attitude like the other teachers talk about. 209.149.113.5 (talk) 15:13, 2 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You may also find that telling people your parole officer has instructed you not to argue with people will have the same effect. μηδείς (talk) 23:29, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
