editAs it rings in the forest...
editOn our Whataboutism page, an uncited example is given as "As it rings in the forest, so it rings back!". Does this proverb exist and if so, what does it mean? A Google search can only find it in Wikipedia. Alansplodge (talk) 13:22, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
- It was added on 14 May 2022 by User:Gabel1960 with the edit summary "extended using content from the German version". There was a source at the time, "https://www.redensarten-index.de/suche.php?suchbegriff=wie+it+in+the+forest&bool=relevance&gawoe=an&sp0=rart_ou", but it was later removed and I'm not sure if it is actually relevant. --User:Khajidha (talk) (contributions) 13:31, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
- "wie it ..?" Looks like Gabel1960 forget which language to use after the first word. More relevant results come from Wie es in den Wald .... This is German idiom on the English Wikipedia, though, so probably should just be deleted as off-topic, unless that phrase has an English counterpart.
