editIntelPPM
editRecently, I tried something to speed up my computer. I went to Troubleshoot, then to Command Prompt, and finally renamed intelppm.sys to intelppm.sys.bak (as described in this article (https://thegeekpage.com/fix-blue-screen-error-intelppm-sys-in-windows-10/). In Command Prompt, I typed in "cd drivers," followed by "ren intelppm.sys intelppm.sys.bak. Now, I want to undo this completely because I don't like how it affects ThrottleStop. I tried typing in "ren intelppm.sys.bak intelppm.sys" to rename it back to intelppm.sys, but it didn't work. I'll be honest - I don't really know that much about computers... I was wondering if anyone here might know how to fix this. What should the line in command prompt read?173.185.94.69 (talk) 14:21, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
- Are you in recovery mode, as described in that article? What errors are you getting? RudolfRed (talk) 22:56, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
Hey, sorry I didn't reply sooner. I went on Google and looked up how to undo the renaming of a file (just press Ctrl+Z), and it worked. Everything is working great now.173.185.94.69 (talk) 17:12, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
