Sakura (桜 or 櫻) is the Japanese name for ornamental cherry trees, Prunus serrulata, and their blossoms. Sakura, a well-known and ubiquitous symbol of Japan, are represented on all manner of consumer goods, including kimono, stationery, and dishware.
