Backlog drives are conducted by the NPP team, whenever we feel that backlog is too high. Usually, they are a month long, and participants are awarded barnstars based on the number of reviews that they complete during the drive.

FAQ
editQ1: Are redirects counted towards my score?
A1: Yes for a redirect/combined backlog drive. No, for an article-only backlog drive.
Q2: Are old articles counted?
A2: Any and all articles are counted, as long as they are reviewed during the time period of the drive.
Q3: Can re-reviews be completed after the drive period is passed?
A3: Yes. However, the purpose of re-reviewing is to provide feedback to fellow reviewers, which means it's important to complete re-reviews throughout the drive. Re-reviews may be completed for up to 7 days after the drive has ended.
Q4: I have been busy reviewing new pages but I still seem to have a 0 on the leader board. What's the problem?
A4: Please check the following:
- You have registered as a participant for the relevant drive on the signup page.
- You are reviewing articles/redirects (as appropriate), not AfC drafts.
- You are using the page curation toolbar for your reviews.
Q5: What is the logic behind the streak awards?
A5: A streak as defined by wikitionary is a continuous series of like events. The streak awards are meant to encourage consistency in reviewing among the participants. Let's say that a participant has the following scores for each week during the drive: 70, 30, 100 and 80. In this case, their minimum across all the weeks is 30, and they would get the appropriate streak award based on that number.
