Wikipedia:Meetup/UNC/Women + Graphic Novels 2016

The SILS Library at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will host our first Wikipedia edit-a-thon on April 6, 2016. Join library staff and students at UNC's School of Information and Library Science for an evening of social Wikipedia editing in the SILS Library.

At the edit-a-thon, which is open to the public, we will create and improve Wikipedia articles about women who are involved in creating and publishing graphic novels. All are invited, with no specialized knowledge of the subject or Wikipedia editing experience needed. Ryan Kulikowski, owner of Chapel Hill Comics, will speak about Women and Graphic Novels at 5:00 pm, followed by a brief workshop on the basics of Wikipedia editing. We will have library resources and a list of suggested topics on hand.
