Join us! The Congressional Editathon is a meetup for Congressional staffers, local Wikimedians, and WikiProject United States Federal Government Legislative Data participants in the D.C. area to improve information about the United States government on Wikipedia. All are welcome! Please RSVP if you are not a congressional staffer, so we can plan.

• List of bills in the 113th United States Congress
• Legislative documents on WikiSource.
• Infobox templates for articles about U.S. bills and laws
• Notability criteria for legislation introduced in the US Congress which has not become law (yet).

• A congressional staffer I talked to thought "introduced on the House or Senate floor" was too low a criterion, and after discussion thought that plus "received significant secondary news coverage" was enough. Maybe that second bit goes without saying? I think we should propose it explicitly. -- econterms (talk)

• add Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1988 (VEOA) based on this source among others: [1]
• rewrite Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority and related legislation -- a hot topic, with the Ebola scare

• Examples for Peter to review and discussion: Hurricane Sandy relief bill;
• Peter's view is that "Provisions/Elements of the bill" should be above "Procedural history". See 1, 2
• Long ago it was noted that the articles about congress-persons sometimes do not mention significant bills they have introduced. Still the case? Some articles about congressional representatives seem to emphasize highly the details of their elections, not the substance of their votes and proposed legislation.
