Why is this so busy?

edit

This is a very busy instrument. This needs to be more user friendly. How do you email other people? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jltownsend (talkcontribs) 19:20, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am new to this sight and my head hurts. This is the fourth time that I have visited this site so that I may share with my class and my head hurts. This is annoying. I dont normally complain this much but GEE Whiz! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jltownsend (talkcontribs) 19:24, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Salutations

edit

I've been using Wikipedia for a few years now and I recently decided to become a member. I would like to thank Grand Roi des Citrouilles for posting a welcome message on my talk page just 42 hours after I joined. So, how do you find new users? I would like to find out so I can help out with welcoming them as well. Also, you may want to consider archiving a portion of this page. I don't mean to complain, but it is really long (153 kb+) and annoying to scroll through. Do you mind if I do the archive?
Anyway, I was just wondering if there is a page that lists some common edit summary shorthand words. I try to write summaries for all my posts, but I'm not very familiar with the edit summary shorthand.
Thanks, Thingg 04:56, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. Please respond on my talk page. Thanks (not trying to be rude/arrogant, just easier that way.)

Glad to be here

Hi everyone,

My name is Peggy Brennan. I am from Troy, Michigan, am married and have 3 grown children. My husband and I founded a grassroots environmental organization called Great Lakes Green Initiative in 2005.

A little background: I learned about wikis when completing a library and information science degree at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2005), and was very excited about the idea of such a collaborative project. I actually developed my own wikis well before adding anything to Wikipedia (Great Lakes Green Initiative and Fr. Jack website). Once I learned wiki editing, there was no turning back to traditional website editing!

My husband and I went to Wikimania 2 years ago to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary, and had a great time.

I have put a couple of small links into wikipedia, such as a link to Great Lakes Green Initiative's rain barrel page on your rain barrel page, but only last week finally put up an entire page: John A. Trese.

Thanks so much for all the hard work you all do! You are an inspiration to me. --Peggy Brennan 20:37, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bleeding Blue

edit

Well, I'm a student at Boise State University in Idaho, and have been reading WP for a long time. I finally decided to take a stab at contributing to it.

My interests include sports (Mostly MLB and NFL), video games (Nintendo), and some math/logic stuff. I also play a lot of cards. After I get a hang of this thing hopefully I'll become a regular contributor in those areas.

The name comes from the fact that all of my sports teams (Seahawks, Mariners, BSU Broncos) use blue as their primary color, seemed clever at the time I guess. Here's hoping for smooth sailing! Bleeding Blue (talk) 03:29, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BREW Ninja has arrived

edit

Hey! So, I primarily joined since I wanted to give due credit to a collegue which created the Tux Paint educational software. He's well known in the programming industry, but no entry has been made for his red link in the article.

I'm a Quality Assurance technician for a mobile games and application firm in the San Francisco Bay Area in California, and a full time student at the University of Phoenix working on my Bachelor's in Computer Science.

My interest are varied, but mostly center around gaming and video/film production.

I can be found on YouTube as the BREW Ninja as well.

I've spent the better part of the last four years in my field of Computer Science, working in various video game companies throughout Northern and Southern California. I'm also a freelance fiction writer, but have yet to get anything "officially" published. I am working on it, though...

Andrew E. joining the Wikipedia editors' group

edit

Hi, my name is Andrew. I live in Fort Mc Murray, Alberta, Canada. I contributed one Wikipedia entry already, for which a stub was provided. Hope to add another one, for which there is no stub, so I have to browse through the help pages to find out how this is done. Hope to see your contributions! edit

Hi all,

I am Siddhartha from Mumbai, India. I had been a user of all wiki's such as wikipedia and wikimapia and I dont know how I came to know about them since they have been so popular and giving such an excellent content whenever I have searched for an article, place or anything else.

My interest have been in the area of software design and architecture. I thought of contributing for an article on Front Controller which I did not see in english in Wikipedia.

So thats about me.

Hi there, newbie reporting in. I'm of the Dutch nationality, found wiki through google (as most do, I imagine). My interests lie in the field of computer gaming, graphic design, art, music and (some) literature. I'm here to see if I can help one of my favourite websites out. Maybe I'll see some of you around. :) YMCK (talk) 20:13, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
