About the Event edit

Wikipedia is launching, for the second time, a global campaign where they ask librarians to contribute one citation to an already existing article. This effort is called #1Lib1Ref campaign. In this session, we will give you a brief overview of Wikipedia and its Core Principles, demonstrate how to create an account and add a Conflict of Interest Statement. Lastly, we will show you how to add citations to the online encyclopedia. Let's make Wikipedia a better reference tool!

- Use the Citation Hunt to find articles needing citations

Find a reliable source to support the article

Add a citation

After adding the citation, include the project hashtag #1Lib1Ref in the Edit Summary box
