Original – The eternal flame at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial in Yerevan, Armenia, on Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day 2014. Constructed on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, thousands of Armenians gather at the memorial to commemorate the victims of the genocide on April 24 of every year. They lay fresh flowers out of respect for those who died in the genocide. There have been many notable visitors in the past including George Cloony, Hillary Clinton, Kanye West, Paulo Coelho, Conan O'Brien, John Paul II, Gerard Depardieu, and Vladimir Putin.
Reason
The Eternal Flame at the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan is a sight not too many people know about. However, there have been many notable visitors in the past, including George Cloony, Hillary Clinton, Kanye West, Paulo Coelho, Conan O'Brien, John Paul II, Gerard Depardieu, and Vladimir Putin, just to name a few (see: List of visitors to Tsitsernakaberd). So there's good EV. Quality of the photograph is great.
