I am nominating this for featured list because this geographic chronology of the region that is now the U.S. State of Colorado has been redesigned to provide an attractive and informative history of the many territorial claims and designations that eventually led to the formation of the state. I appreciate any suggestions for improvement. Yours aye, Buaidh talk e-mail 21:47, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose - the lead is only two sentences long, there's no context to a lot of the bullet points (how does
Pope Alexander VI issues papal bull Inter caetera, May 5, 1493
relate to the subject, for example? There's literally no explanation in the article) and almost nothing is referenced -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 08:34, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose, suggesting to withdraw — Currently, most of the content of the list is uncited. Opposing on grounds that the list does not meet FL criteria #1, #2, and #3(b). We have an excellent featured list on Territorial evolution of the United States. Suggesting to take a look there, and try to keep the format similar. – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 09:45, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

- I will add explanations of the import of each bullet point. Citations are included in the articles linked, but I can add important citations to the list. Thanks you for your comments. Buaidh talk e-mail 17:24, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
- For a Featured List everything in the article needs to be cited actually in the article -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 19:35, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
- And I'll add that this has to be done before nominating the list. FL process is for making minor tweaks in response to constructive comments. The list, in its current state, is not ready for FLC. If you can add citations in a few days, well and good. If not, suggesting to withdraw and re-nominate whenever you are ready. – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 19:49, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

I withdraw this FLC nomination. Buaidh talk e-mail 22:40, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
- I originally offered this nomination as a stripped down list providing fast access to significant events in the territorial evolution of the state. With substantial annotation this list will more closely resemble an article than a list. I will rework this list and resubmit. Thanks for all your comments. - @PresN: This FLC has been withdrawn by the nominator. – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 12:57, 27 February 2022 (UTC)
