Hurricane Charley edit

FAC failed per nom request Zzzzz 16:33, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article is about one of the most important meteorological events in American history. It is well-written and well-cited, has many useful, well-documented images (including a link to an animated radar image of Charley's path over the Florida Peninsula), and overall is important. If possible, I would like its nomination expedited so that, if it is declared worthy of FA status, it might possibly be inserted as FAotD for August 13, the 2nd anniversary of Charley's landfall at Port Charlotte, Florida.

  • Of course, as nominator, I   support this. --Kitch 11:43, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose as of now. The Florida impact section is way too short, and the aftermath is practically non-existant. Once those are addressed, I'll support, seeing as I added a lot of what was there. --Hurricanehink (talk) 12:46, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • WITHDRAW I misread the GA nomination process. FA nomination is recommended for GA candidates greater than 32k in size. I apologize for wasting your time, and will renom for FA status when it is better prepared. I am removing the FAC template and nominating it for GA instead. --Kitch 16:33, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
