Hi,

I'd like to request a review of my first article. It's still very rough but before going further, I wanted to check first if it's notable and whether my 2 main sources are adequate. I also wonder, does this deserve its own page, or should it be a section in Biocultural anthropology? From first glance the fields seem similar, with biocultural anthropology being broader and ethnopediatrics just focused on kids, but I'm not sure and could use advice.

The topic is looks to be notable enough for an article, and it has some references, so you could move it to article space. Thank you for your feedback, Graeme. I'm having trouble finding enough sources to fill 4-5 pages, it's going to be about 3 "scrolls" on my browser. I thought about merging it in with Biocultural Anthropology but the more I think about it, the two fields seem less similar than I originally thought - one is gaining popularity for its application in mainstream parenting practices, and one sounds more purely research/academe-oriented. My instinct would be to create the new page and let it get populated over time since it is still such a new field and more sources may emerge later. But it would be short. Starting an article about an online retailer, balloonsbymail.com

Hi,Can someone please review my article and give me some help/advice? I found this great retailer and I wanted to start an article about it so other people can find it as well. I have the page up on my user's subpage at Even-Ours/balloonsbymail.com. I saw all the warnings about starting pages about companies, so I was looking for help making it notable. Also, I do not seem to be able to list my references properly, and I want to cite the website. It is looking very like a press release from the company, it looks as if you want people to buy the balloons. This is the category of WP:Advertising. Also you need to find what others have written about the company. Newspapers, journals, magazines, independent web sites are the place to look. Don't worry too much about the format, just make a list of the URLs or refs down the bottom and put it in a ==References== section, and put an * at the start of the line in front of each one to make a list. Others can fix it up if it makes it into article space. I would expect the article to mention www.balloonsbymail.com but this is not and independent site. It is looking a lot better than the version by User:Chipandy that was deleted. Since you now have references in several newspapers, it should pass the Notability test. you could move it to Fraternal Order of Moai. Let me know when you have done so, and I will restore the old version as a history (although it is different). Then you can pick the best bits from it, giving credit to Chipandy. Not sure about a topic I want to write on

Dear reader:

I am keen on writing about Digicorp Information System Pvt. Ltd (http://digi-corp.com/). Please keep in mind, that I am in no way associated with the company. I have read Wikipedia article submission guidelines for companies.

Now, before I invest my energies into creating a Wikipedia page for it, only to be rejected when I submit it, I wanted to ask how feasible is it for me to write about the company. I do believe it is NOTABLE enough to be written about. I did a Google search for their name and it resulted 3030 results in Google(http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=digicorp+information+systems+pvt.+ltd.&meta=&aq=0&oq=digicorp).

Please let me know, if I should invest my energies into creating a neutral point of view wikipedia article page for Digicorp.

The best way to make sure the article won't get deleted is to only write it if you have reliable sources to cite that discuss the company. A reliable source is one that has a reputation for fact checking and accuracy. This includes, but is not limited to, major newspapers and magazines. Well the first two are major newspapers , so they should be OK. The Odesk seems to be independent, but I am not sure how reliable it is, it seems to be an example of the work of a writer you can employ on that web site. The article looks OK in its format and style, but I cannot confirm it by a google search, the only thing that looks to match the topic is Noel Godfrey Chavasse found in Wikipedia. (and this is not a reliabe source) At least you have one book that can confirm some of the information. My concern is whether it meets the WP:CLUB standard. The problem I have come to is that it is a fairly secret society. It doesn't come up with anything on Google - I tried quite extensively myself - but I do think it deserves inclusion. There are quite a few examples of similar clubs that don't have any references outside of the local area in which it is invovled, such as the Stubbs Society. I've been involved in the magazine industry for a long time and I've taken a new interest to digital magazines - those that have decided to forgo the high cost of print and publish a digital-only magazine. I came upon Exec Digital, which has done just that. I tried creating an article, but it got deleted. And yet, I think Exec Digital is particularly noteworthy because an article for BusinessWeek, a said competitor of Exec Digital, discusses the magazine's decline in advertising and thus its effort to sell the brand.

I believe a company like Exec Digital is defining the direction that the magazine industry is headed. Being digital-only allows it to sustain costs better than traditional print magazines. It has US, Canada and UK editions. And its publisher, White Digital Media, also puts out trade magazines with the same digital premise, like Energy Digital magazine. Hi there, you used the name Exec Digital, a business and lifestyle publication which sounds like a promotional title. However it was deleted for showing no claims of importance. the refs from independent newswire and businessweek make it sound notable, but press releases are not independent, and in your original article one of your refs was commented out, so it was invisible and therefore possibly not noticed. I would suggest the title as Exec Digital, and that you start it in User:Jseditor/Exec Digital, so that it can avoid being deleted for the CSD-A7 reason (no claims of importance), before you have it ready. Luggage Forward

Hi,

Several weeks ago I submitted a request for an article on Luggage Forward, a door to door luggage forwarding company based in Boston. Being an employee of the company, I was careful to note that I am wanting to create a page based solely on company merit and secondary press sources. I have linked several of them on the requested page for businesses and organizations.

I am curious as to whether it would be more appropriate by Wikipedia standards to make an additional plea here to have an offical editor create the page, or to create the page myself. If the latter prevails, than I would like would like some advice on creating the article in general, or any worthy advice one feels would benefit me other than the general guidelines posted throughout the website.

Wikipedia:Requested articles/Business and Economics/Businesses and Organizations is the correct place to request an article. However it can take years or never for someone to write one. Since you work for Luggage Forward it it places you ion a WP:COI position. Be aware that your company may also have concerns over what you write, and may place you in a difficult position. If you feel that you can safely write an article on the company, I would suggest that you start at User:Antarcticmoon/Luggage Forward. This is a sandbox for an article under construction, and will not be deleted as speedily as it would be in article space. Look for appearances in other publications, newspapers, web sites, and be sure to mention these as references. Try not to make it sound like an advertisement, but look like an entry from an encyclopedia. As an example look at TNT N.V. which is a notable courier company to see what kind of topic to cover in your article proposal. You can ask back here for an opinion on your sandbox. Hi there, your proposal looks like it is promoting discoveryfuel. If you can write a general concept article on Regenerative Commerce suitable for an encyclopedia then we can have it here. Your article would not be deleted because of formatting, as that is easy to fix. The more difficult thing will be to show that the topic is notable. Hopefully you can find independent people who have written on this topic, such as academics or magazines. If the topic is unique to discovery fuels then you may have a COI and it would be better if you worked on different articles in Wikipedia first to build up your skills.
