Our current appeal for donations, which is shown to unregistered and unlogged-in users, reads as follows:

It is also currently shown in small font. Neither the text nor the layout have been debated much. This page is meant to serve as a brainstorming space for new slogans and layouts. Please post your ideas below, and feel free to sign them.

- There was one some years ago, then it was gone! — for me personally it is very important and I would like to see it before I donate a second time, Wikipedia has become less transparent
