Vigilante 3D (Nepali: भिजिलान्ते) is a Nepali social thriller film released on April 5, 2013.The first 3D movie in Nepali language was promoted as such that the name itself was termed ‘Vigilante 3D’[1] Directed by Dipendra K Khanal and starring Subash Thapa, Priyanka Karki, Raj Ghimire, Menuka Pradhan and Sikha Shahi. The movie is recognized as the first Nepali film to be captured using 3D Anaglyph stereoscopic 3D effect.[2] Due to technical issues, the film had a limited 3D release.

Plot outline edit

Vigilante 3D is an end-of-days thriller where three extremely infectious diseases (Lust, Anger and Greed) try to overtake the human race. The film concentrates on a few individuals who are infected but unaware of their condition.[citation needed]

Release and reception edit

The film received mixed reviews. National Daily 'Nagarik mentioned that the movie is worth watching, and The Himalayan Times noted that the screenplay had some loopholes but the story was presented with intrigue and suspense.[3] The Himalayan Times reviewed the movie favorably, noting that Shan Basnyat's screenplay was a "satisfactory job with a few loopholes though"[4] and that director Khanal narrated the story with intrigue and suspense, deriving fears in his audience."[4]
