If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

List of Jason Varitek's awards tagged for speedy deletion

An article that you have been involved in editing, List of Jason Varitek's awards, has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please look there to see why this is, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Zpb52 18:00, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Zpb52 18:00, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

I didn't put the Speedy Delete tag up, so I won't take it down. I simply restored it after you blanked it. In fact, I suggested a merge with Jason Varitek, not a speedy delete. --Zpb52 18:09, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

hangon

Please don't put the "hangon" template on the article's page after you write your explanation. It is intended as a placeholder until you write your explanation. Thanks. --Zpb52 18:05, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

List of Jason Varitek's awards

Since you have objected, though you did not put a hangon tag on the article, I will restore the article. Everything in the list appears to be in the Jason Varitek article. I will suggest a merge because it is list of information already contained in the Jason Varitek article and does not seem to be needed.--Dakota ~ 18:31, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

The article has been restored. Please consider putting a hangon tag on if any article is listed in the future. It is an alert that there is and objection to deletion. There was none on the article. Good day.--Dakota ~ 18:38, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
Please see my talk page for reply.--Dakota ~ 18:49, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

Re your question. You were quiet certain on it's restoration. It is up to you. It probably will not be deleted but merged. I can't say that for certain though.--Dakota ~ 19:45, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Tek47.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Tek47.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image copyright problem with Image:WsC.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:WsC.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 18:09, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

WikiWinter

Thanks. I appreciate it. I'm still working out some kinks, but hopefully the site should catch on soon. Feel free to spread the word :-)

The rules are pretty lax for now. I'm really ok with anything as long as people start adding content. If/when it really gets going I'll add some more serious rules like there are here, but for now, I really just want it to be a place where people can find details about anything skiing/snowboarding related... Let me know if that helps. Searles2sels (PJ) 06:49, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Also, thanks for the edit on the skiing project page. I appreciate it :-) Searles2sels (PJ) 06:52, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Cory Lidle edits

Why did you revert my edit on the Cory Lidle article when I included famous aviation deaths in the see-aslo section? Zzz345zzz 21:38, 11 October 2006

The article appears to be averaging one edit every 5 seconds (!), and in the course of reverting vandalism I may have inadvertently caught your change. Its a jungle out there.  ;-) Can't sleep, clown will eat me 21:40, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

Edit Summaries

Please use edit summaries, especially when adding deletion tags, it is also considered curteous to notify the creator or major contributors of a page when you add it for deletion as they might not be aware and if a page is not meeting notibility standards they may be able to produce that information since the subject interests them and they may be aware of it. Thanks and please remember to use them in rthe future. Qrc2006 01:10, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Killington.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Killington.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Barbaro

Hi, please don't add the Deadspin award to the Barbaro article; listing it as an honor would be an obvious error. --Kjoonlee 09:20, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Even if it's as real as the "Time Person of the Year", I'm pretty sure it was satirical and thus unencyclopedic. --Kjoonlee 10:03, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism in Deadspin?

Now, I realize the edits were quite drastic, but I don't know how you can call my edits vandalism, WP:AGF and whatnot.

I understand you're trying to protect the article, but it was a poorly written, organized and sourced article that didn't conform to Wikipolicies. I discussed what I wanted to do in the talk section, but no one raised any objections. The SHOTY and HoF sections had to go, since they were pure fancruft, and you don't do inline external links, as there were for Mighty MJD, Black Table, etc.

I'm more than happy to discuss specific edits in the talk section, but I'd appreciate it if you didn't label a good faith attempt to improve the article "vandalism". Exactly which of my edits added "unhelpful and non-constructive information"?

I'm undoing your revert, and if there are edits that don't conform to Wikipedia's guidelines, please tell me. Like I said, I discussed my edits beforehand - I hope you can show the same level of decency before undoing my edits wholesale. Ytny 19:37, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Converting inline external links to references seems to be an attempt at circumventing policy. Please don't. --Kjoonlee 00:20, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Don't blank your talk page

For the sake of reference, it's important not to blank your talk page. What you can do instead is WP:ARCHIVE, so other people can access the talk page. 23:09, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
