editHello, Zunairmajeed. This is your user talk page; the purpose of this page is notification and communication with other Wikipedia editors. It is not a workspace for articles in progress or for self-promotion. Please use your user sandbox or the draft article space to practice editing or to create new articles. - Thanks jlwoodwa. Zunairmajeed (talk) 07:11, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Computer hardware. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. —Bruce1eetalk 14:19, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your feedback, Bruce1ee. I apologize if my recent edit was perceived as promotional or inappropriate. My intention was to contribute relevant and valuable information to the article, not to advertise. I understand the importance of maintaining Wikipedia’s guidelines regarding external links and avoiding promotional content.
- I’ll take more care moving forward to ensure any edits I make adhere to Wikipedia’s policies. I appreciate the reminder to discuss potential additions on the talk page first. I’ll make sure to follow that process and seek consensus before adding any links.
- Thank you again for bringing this to my attention. Zunairmajeed (talk) 15:14, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
