Kodoku no Gourmet and Samurai Gourmet edit
I looked at the primus of both shows and it does not appear that Kodoku no Gourmet and Samurai Gourmet are related to each other. According the the article on Anime News Network,[1] Samurai Gourmet is based on a different manga, Manga-han Nobushi no Gourmet by Shigeru Tsuchiyama. Kodoku no Gourmet is by a different manga author and artist Masayuki Kusumi and Jiro Taniguchi. Other than a similar theme, the only other connection these two series have in common is that the same staff that worked on the live-action adaptation of Kodoku no Gourmet are also working on Samurai Gourmet, but that is it. —Farix (t | c) 22:13, 29 March 2017 (UTC)

It is problematic if true, but the connection I found between Kodoku no Gourmet and Samurai Gourmet is that both are created by Masayuki Kusumi [1]. The other interesting find is that I'm finding Kodoku no Gourmet referenced as Kodoku no Gurume as well, and both list Masayuki Kusumi as a creator [2].
Since both Kodoku no Gourmet and Samurai Gourmet have the same premise, and are created by the same person[3], I would say that Samurai Gourmet is a Netflix adaptation of Kodoku no Gourmet.
