Drudge Report

edit

In the last 10 days, an anonymous editor working from several different IPs was given one year bans for disruptive editing on the Drudge Report page and then for attempting to sockpuppet himself back onto the page to make exactly the same changes (viz. removing the word "conservative" from the leading paragraph). That anonymous editor then responded to the admin who banned him, and I quote: "You make me laugh. I can change it again, and again, and again. You are completely powerless over me".

Now within one day of that occurring, you have joined WP merely to make exactly the same change to the same word in the same article!

  • Firstly, if you are the same editor banned under other IPs, you are flouting the rules of WP by evading a block.

I first edited or even looked at the Drudge Report wikipedia page 2 days ago to read about the drudge siren. I then edited the text about the most recent siren headline to what it is now. I noticed the word "conservative" in the opening paragraph and wondered if there was any discussion about it, and read the debate. I agreed with that guy, and checked the new york times wikipedia change and found no mention of "liberal" until the end of the intro, so I changed it myself. I'm not affiliated with that guy at all, but I do share his opinion. Check our ips or whatever you want, but I'm from Houston, TX. And what makes you think I have a personal interest in the site, any more than you do? I check Drudge every day, so does that mean I'm not allowed to edit the article about it? So do you care to respond to any of my arguments about the placement of the word "conservative"? Zooplibob (talk) 21:33, 20 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
