Welcome, and thank you for experimenting with the Loughborough University page on Wikipedia! Your test worked, and thank you for reverting or removing it yourself. The best way to do tests in the future would be to use the sandbox. You can look at these pages as well: how to edit a page, the tutorial, and how to write a great article. All of these pages are good places to start. Again, thanks, and we hope that you will like Wikipedia. Ian3055 19:28, 30 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Lboro

edit

Sorry if that message came across a bit strong, they are almost automatic, and in fact I didnt use the correct one did I, oops.

Essentially the point with the additions that you made to the Alumni list was that the first one didnt seem to link to the same person as the engineer you listed, if it is the correct person and they have graduated from Loughborough then they ought to be on there. The general rule of thumb is that if a person has an article eg Sebastian Coe, Baron Coe, then we would link to it, if the person isnt notable enough to have an article then they arent usually notable enough to be on a list like that. If you're really interested then there are some suggestions here.

On your list suggestion, I hope that the notablity issue clears this up, and whilst it might be a nice idea, Wikipedia isnt the place for it I'm afraid. And thumbs up on the DC link, I have put different text over it so we can see what it is easily. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Feel free to ask me questions or whatever on my talk page whenever, I usually get back to them the same day if not the next. Ian3055 23:06, 30 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Pinktower.jpg

edit

The file File:Pinktower.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 26 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
