Welcome

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent edits, such as the ones to the page Magnetic dipole, do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the "sandbox" rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! RockMagnetist (talk) 22:47, 19 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

November 2012 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Force between magnets, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. The style for the rest of this article is upright boldface for vectors. Please do not change it unless you can get consensus for it on the article's talk page. RockMagnetist (talk) 22:55, 19 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button   or   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 06:50, 23 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Force due to magnetic dipoles edit

I added the refs [1][2]. Maschen (talk) 16:51, 24 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Copied from here for reference
Adding references is very easy; <ref>...(insert ref here)...</ref>. Its good to use the template {{citebook}}, {{citejournal}} or similar (they are link from these templates), and just fill the parameters in with the information provided. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for fuller descriptions, if not already.

PS (above is for reference, let's keep all article discussion on talk pages). Best, Maschen (talk) 16:51, 24 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
