Thank you.

The article Beans on Toast (Musician) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 18:45, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Beans on toast (Musician)

edit

A tag has been placed on Beans on toast (Musician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Delete my account from wikipedia. I keep trying to add pages that I have wanted to see on wikipedia and help with the editing process but my presence is constantly unwanted and only one of my articles has been kept on the site. Admins of this site are people who have a faux sense of importance and believe that no-one else is good enough to share knowledge with the public. Whatever I do in life I wish to request formally that there never be a wikipedia article on, or including me. If I ever see an article with the title Zach Virgo or Zachary Virgo, I will persistently request it's deletion and encourage others to do likewise

Hi

I saw the page you created complaining about the deletion. Might I suggest that rather than disrupting Wikipedia to make a point you try something a bit more constructive, and ask why it was deleted?

The article had nothing in there to indicate why this musician was notable (see WP:BAND). But from your complaint, it appears that that he has had some coverage. Wouldn't it have been better to create the page with the sources instead of creating a rant page?

I would suggest that you create a userfied page. If you like, I'll undelete the article and move it to an area where you can work on it till you think it is ready for moving into the mainspace. Just drop me a note on my talk page.

However, I would urge you NOT to continue with your creating of inappropriate pages, insulting people and threatening to disrupt Wikipedia. That way will lead you to being blocked indefinitely. Stephen! Coming... 10:20, 12 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi
I did actually use sources from thetimesonline.co.uk and also well respected websites on the topic of UK musicians. I added them as references to begin with and was in the process of creating a proper ref. box etc., I refreshed the page to check my editing so far was correct and it had disappeared, all in the space of around 2 minutes. I continue to be accused of making improper articles where as far as I can see I only have made one in protest to these accusations! Threatening to disrupt Wikipedia? Or wishing to keep my name away from a group of people I feel I have been let down by. I am sorry if I caused undue animosity whilst in a state of frustration, however I felt my point had to be made. Thank you, if you could move it I would highly appreciate that.
Article is at User:Zakistan/Beans on toast (Musician). I have also added the link on your main user page. Stephen! Coming... 16:26, 20 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
