Image copyright problem with Image:Krebs_8.gif edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Krebs_8.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or ask for help at Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. Thank you. -- Carnildo 13:14, 14 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:Pseudomonas_aeruginosa.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Pseudomonas_aeruginosa.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Speedy deletion nomination of Disk error repair without Mac installation disk edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. J. M. (talk) 01:01, 19 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for November 26 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited I Dream of Jeannie, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Major Nelson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Potential spamming edit

By inserting http://www.learnoilanalysis.com/ Learn oil analysis portal on oil analysis theory, analyses snd solutions. you are violating Wikipedia rules that discourage inserting commercial links. By inserting the same link in multiple articles, you present yourself as an editor more interested in spamming than in helping. If you think that I am wrong, then you are encouraged to raise this issue on talk pages. Cheers,--Smokefoot (talk) 13:42, 3 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

October 2017 edit

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Lubrication. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you.  Velella  Velella Talk   19:55, 5 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
