Hope a query won't block me edit

Why did you make this parody page? or troll or anything? And why will a wikipedian want to get blocked? ~"aGastya" ✉ let’s talk about it :) 15:50, 25 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

It's intended as a humorous ajunct to WP:GAB, illustrating some of the more common ways people screw up their unblock appeals. The flippancy is entirely my own. Yunshui  15:53, 25 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

one fellow wikipedian told me that i am not supposed to create talk pages of one like this. So should i delete this? And one more thing, can i also have an essay page: and is it different from a blog? (further queries'ld be on your talk page) thanks! ~"aGastya" ✉ let’s talk about it :) 17:08, 25 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Personally I've no problem with you posting here; there's no explicit rule against doing so (although you're more likely to get a response on my talkpage, since I don't get any notification when you post here). As to having an essay page of your own, the answer is yes - but it's quite different from a blog. Wikipedia is not a blog hosting site, and if that's what you're looking for, you need to go elsewhere (Blogger and Wordpress are the two largest bloghosts out there, for what it's worth). Essays on Wikipedia need to be clearly related to some aspect of Wikipedia; they generally take the form of instructions or advice (e.g. User:Yunshui/Images for beginners) or opinions (e.g. User:Yunshui/Wikipedia is not rocket science). More information is available at WP:ESSAY. Yunshui  08:53, 26 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
