To all those who have taken the time stop by:

Welcome and thank you for visiting my discussion page. Here you are entitled to speak your mind concerning articles I have edited, I have disputes over, or even those pages in which I may be even only remotely involved or interested in. Primarily due to the fact that I am nearly always preoccupied with work, comments posted here may take several days or perhaps weeks at a time to be replied. In these cases, I ask for your patience and hope my responses, however late they may be, will be satisfactory and foster good will. I also ask that you do the best you can to endure the highly literary manner in which my comments are posted, as it is to my understanding that this has thus far exasperated one too many people.

A Few Rules Concerning This Page:

I. All comments here should be addressed to me. Comments to other users concerning their posts here should be directed to that particular person's discussion page unless I too am implicated.
II. Posts on this page should only concern:
1) My edits to particular articles.
2) My stance or position in a debate that I am taking part in.
3) My opinion in a field of expertise I may seem interested or am knowledgable about (cited on my main page).
4) Requests concerning Wikipedia projects (discussions, polls, etc).
III. Please refrain from launching personal insults on me or even any other user/editor of Wikipedia. Posts that make use of:
1) Swearwords
2) Inappropriate/exaggerated slander or criticism
3) Ethnic/nationality-based slurs
shall be deleted without prior notice.
IV. Except when adding your post, you are not permitted to:
1) Revert this page.
2) Vandalise/mutilate the beginning message or basic guidelines presented at the top.
3) Vandalise/mutilate another individual's post.
In essence, you are only permitted to start a new section or post a new comment. Repetitively posted comments will be deleted.
V. As I am primarily concerned with the predominant English version of Wikipedia, I ask that people who wish to post comments in a foreign language:
1) If the language is one that I am capable of exercising fluency (cited on my main page), attach a brief summary in English for other possible readers.
2) If the language is one that I am only remotely able or completely unable to comprehend, attach a complete translation in English.

As articles III and IV are part of or related to basic social/Internet etiquette, it is a requirement that you adhere to at least these two rules.

And, of course, there are other rules concerning talk pages on Wikipedia; check some of those articles for more information.

Wikimania 2006 edit

Dear Michael,

Have you seen the announcements about Wikimania 2006? It would be excellent if you could attend the conference at Harvard Law School this August 4-6; aside from the general interest of the event, there will be discussions about project development in many major wikipedia languages, and the korean wikipedia should be talked about by an editor and native speaker. Please let me know if you might be able to attend.

Best wishes, +sj + 13:07, 10 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello edit

oh my gosh! Pleased to meet you! If I'm acting weird is because I have always wanted to meet a Japanese/ British person! I've studied the Japanese language but i can't seem to write it. It's very hard to write kanji. Ah, I'm sorry, getting off subject. What i really wanted to ask was that if you could tell me how to make a userbox? It's very complicated for me. I've already read about them on Wikipedia, but it's too hard for me. Thank you very much! Kyo cat 03:36, 2 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Greek to me edit

Greetings. I just wrote the page Greek to me. I am comparing similar expressions in other languages. I was wondering if you would be able to add the expression in any languages with which you are comfortable. Btw, I just found your page/profile by running a search for users who have a level 4/level 5 ability in non-English languages. Thanks much! samwaltz 04:37, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Could you help me write this article? edit

Hello,

I was wondering if you would be willing to help me write either Seikichi_Iha or Shorin-ryu_Shido-kan. Tkjazzer 21:48, 22 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
