Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Hi there! I created the page because I have changed my name by deed poll, and wanted to redirect the original page that has been created about me

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Wolfgang Wild. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.   Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at User talk:Drm310, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Drm310 (talk) 18:05, 20 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Question

edit

I see the original article was created by an account called "Theretronaut". Was that you? --Drm310 (talk) 18:23, 20 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi there! My apologies for the delay in responding. I did create the original page, in June 2010, when I heard I was to be at a speaker at TED Global. Immediately, within the hour, it was moderated as an autobiography - I hadn't appreciated Wikipedia's approach to this, and felt very embarrassed, and so, the same day, I tried to delete the page. Realising I couldn't delete it, I put in a request for it to be deleted. However, the moderation discussion felt that I met the criteria for "notability" and elected not to delete the page.

Thanks Wolfgang
