Topic From WikiBOT | Reply Topic | Question

I got this topic from a account called WikiBOT — and well, it said I have a account error, but it didn't really specify — and then it said they will refer back to me in fifty days ...? Then it said refer all your questions to WikiBot.Manager. It just doesn't make sense ...? Is this a scam? Are you a scam? Are you really working at Wikipedia? Are you sure it was WikiBot* because WikiBOT is a different account. Also fifty days in reply doesn't make a lot of sense, so yes, I would guess it is a scam. And No, I am not a scam and I really work for Wikipedia. Now why would I be in the topic if it was a scam, you may ask: Some people look up other accounts with "Wiki" in them, and looks like they scammed you with my name on reply. It happens all the time here at Wikipedia. And the reason why they send the replies to other accounts, is because they don't want you replying to them. Further to the above. There is nothing in your edits to suggest this is associated with a legitimate bot account. If it is supposed to be some kind of bot adjunct page you will need to indicate what bot it relates to and what permissions you have for claiming to be its "manager.". -- Euryalus (talk) 01:33, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
