You might slow down the editing and respond to comments on the Talk pages of the article that you have written. Your contributions are not very good, frankly, but the problem could arise because you just dont understand the nature of Wikipedia, which can be a strange place. So if you feel that you have been misunderstood or have made innocent mistakes, problems can be resolved but we need to hear from you. Presently I am curious about your connection to Anthony Nicholl Rail, User:Tonyrail, and User:Jimjarvis. Also I am trying to justify articles on the Nyholm-Rail reaction and Symbiosis (chemical).--Smokefoot (talk) 01:10, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • I am sorry you find my contributions inadequate. I shall stop. I was a student at Kings School Worcester when Anthony Rail taught there. I haven't communicated with him since he left about 1980, though I have spoken about him with other OVs. I believe I assume user Tonyrail is Tony Rail, which name Anthony Rail also writes under. He wrote a biography of William Russell (merchant), which I rather cribbed in another 'not very good' article I contributed, and which i assume you will now want to delete. I know nothing of Jimjarvis. SW (Whitenob)
Well you may not want to stop now that you have gotten this far. No one is really in charge here anyway. Some editors (me) get nervous when they see several inter-related topics being created nearly simultaneously and especially combined with an article heaping high praise on a non-luminary (even though one's friends are mostly luminaries by definition). So take whatever lesson you want from this process and continue to toy with Wikipedia. And feel free to ask if you have any questions. --Smokefoot (talk) 21:26, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
