Welcome

Because quality is not just in the eye of the beholder,

Please feel free to write something that is really appropriate for Wikipedia.Whatismetric (talk) 07:09, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions seem to be advertising or for promotional purposes. Wikipedia does not allow advertising in articles. For more information on this, see

If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Ckatzchatspy 07:52, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. I can affirm that the 'whatismetric' contributions are bona fide. They provide valid and relevant topical knowledge.

Can your comments about my contributions improve Wikipedia or serve its mission or policies? I would suggest that you read more carefully to avoid slinging some serious bias. Before assuming that a contribution is in some way inappropriate, please do not hesitate to obtain accurate and relevant information.

Sounds a lot like obsessing on a tree and not seeing the forest. At the same time any tree in the forest of knowledge needs some time to grow.

The comments don't substantiate advertising and as such are unqualified for editorial consideration. And the comments don't address the quality of the contribution. They sound seriously un-neutral. I hope that the editors of Wikipedia do not rely on a mediocre editorial rationale as a means of writing and improving articles for the free encyclopedia. Please stop spamming Wikipedia. It is inappropriate. Wikipedia depends of reliable sources. Unknown and barely known organizations, such as your "Alliance for the Advancement of Technology", are not appropriate extrenal links or references. Come back when your work has gained some notability. Dragons flight (talk) 08:09, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Editors of Wikipedia should note that the above comment does not substantiate the inaccurate and irrelevant criticisms such as that poorly stated above. Please read the notability and reliable sources documents more carefully before assuming that the contributions are not appropriate, or before assuming that such a criticism as that stated above is not junk.

I can affirm that the whatismetric contributions are bona fide. The above posting does not in any credible way substantiate that the whatismetric contributions use any sources other than reliable sources. Where is the bias? Whatismetric (talk) 07:00, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
