Welcome!

Hello, Warwickartscentre, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

I wanted to leave you a note. I had to revert your recent addition to the Warwick Arts Centre page because that material is clearly taken from http://www.warwickartscentre.co.uk/about-us/history/warwick-arts-centre/ with no indication on that page that the material is in the public domain. If that is the case (the material is public domain) or you are the original author and are willing to release the information under a Wikipedia-compatible license please follow the directions on WP:IOWN and we can work on re-adding the information. Thanks for your note Syrthiss. I made the changes to that page as I am press and online communications officer for Warwick Arts Centre, so we'd be grateful if you could restore the page. Warwickartscentre (talk) 15:17, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, did you read the page I liked at WP:IOWN? Specifically, stating that you are the press officer is not enough to keep that text. What we need is either of the following:

See also Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.

Also please keep in mind that while we would accept the donated text, once it is submitted the material may be edited by other users as long as they can cite reliable sources for any of their factual changes. If this is not desirable to you then you may wish to reconsider donating the text. Regards, Syrthiss (talk) 16:46, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. -- Ed (Edgar181) 19:18, 26 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
