National Emissions Standards Act edit

Hi Katie, thanks for dropping me a note. I have had a look at National Emissions Standards Act, and it's looking good. My initial comments:

  • The article requires an lead introduction. It is basically a summary of some of the major points in the article. Have a look at WP:LEAD for more information.
  • Good job on the refencing! However, it may require a better form of formatting. Which browser are you using, and are you working on your own computer or a public computer? The reason why I am asking is because if you're using your own computer, you can install a great script to help you make referencing easier. Please see WP:REF#How to format and place citations for more information on the formats for references.
  • We try not to put any notes or messages on actual articles. This is OK for talk pages, but is not desirable on the articles themselves. Try to use templates instead. I have replaced your notes with the {{Empty section}} template.

Otherwise, great job on this! I hope that you can expand the article further, and let me know if you need any help. You can just continue this discussion here, but please put {{wb|Walthakl}} (short for whisper back) at the bottom of my talk page to alert me. Cheers. – SMasters (talk) 08:40, 23 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the great tips! I'm still working on the article, it's just slow-going because I have other classes and assignments as well. I have used my computer to work on this article, but most of the time I use the computers in class to add to it. I'm not sure what you mean about the formatting of the references. I did go to that section on Wikipedia, but I'm still uncertain. Thanks again! Walthakl (talk) 19:32, 24 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
I have helped you change the lead. It does not require any heading, and the first sentence should start with the title of the article (or within the first few words), and in bold. I have also added a few categories to the article. I have to shoot off [my car broke down and I have to go to the workshop :-( ], but will go through it again later and will let you know if there's any more feedback. Keep up the good work! – SMasters (talk) 01:56, 25 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
