A tag has been placed on AltFusion, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Fan-1967 15:14, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

AltFusion

A couple points:

First of all, it doesn't look encyclopedic, it looks promotional, as if created by someone connected with the company, which would be a Conflict of Interest. Long experience tells us that people connected with an enterprise find it difficult, if not impossible, to render neutral, encyclopedic content on that enterprise.
Secondly, there is no indication that it meets the standards of being a notable company, per Wikipedia:Notability (companies and corporations). There are tens of thousands of small IT firms. This is one of them. Fan-1967 15:26, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think this is the place to reply? Your points are fair enough, this is my first time on Wikipedia and I believed that you could write about anything. I should probably read the Wikipedia guidelines a bit more carefully :)

Actually, the Talk page of the article (where you also replied) is the best, as it's reviewed by the admin who makes the final decision. One note:   Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button   located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you.. Fan-1967 15:36, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
