Talk page etiquette

edit

Greetings, Volvo Nut. welcome to Wikipedia. When commenting on talk pages, such as you did at talk:Volvo 200 Series, please sign your comments properly. The way to do this is by typing four tildes ~ in a row. That's all you have to do; Wikipedia automagically stamps your comment with your user name and date/time of post. Just writing "Signed Volvo Nut" isn't the right way to do it. Please also remember to indent your comments by one increment relative to the comment you're responding to. This is done by placing a colon : as the first character of every paragraph in your comment. So if you're responding to the first comment in any particular subject heading, you'd use one colon.

The result would look like this.
And whoever responds to your text would use two colons, so the result would be like this.
Then would come three colons, producing text that looks like this.

I'm sure you get the idea. Thanks for helping to keep the talk pages readable! —Scheinwerfermann (talk) 22:37, 5 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
