Richard Hale School

Hi, I see you started off this article. I assume you are, or were, a pupil there. I was at Richard Hale between 1979 and 1986! I made some edits to the article, including changing the statement that those who gave their names to the Houses were former heardmasters. In fact, none of them were, including Hale himself. Not a problem! You can either reply on your own talk page, as you have done, or place an entry on mine. Some people people prefer one way, others the other. I have no real preference, and when I write a message on someone's talk page, I normally watchlist that page for a few days to see if they have responded there. To show your comments are yours on talk pages (but not in articles), you can type four tildes in a row like this: ~~~~. They get converted to your signature when you save.

On the subject of Richard Hale School, you might be aware that a very large number of school articles get created. Some Wikipedians are against this, claiming that many, or most, schools are not notable enough to warrant an article about themselves. RHS is an old school, and has some famous alumni, so with some good writing, this should not be an issue for it. In fact, it might be worth making a small list of say 5 or so Old Boys (that have Wikipedia articles of their own), and adding that to the article. (You can make a bullet list by starting each new line with an asterisk character.)

Article Feedback Tool update

Hey Virtuini. I'm contacting you because you're involved in the Article Feedback Tool in some way, either as a previous newsletter recipient or as an active user of the system. As you might have heard, a user recently anonymously disabled the feedback tool on 2,000 pages. We were unable to track or prevent this due to the lack of logging feature in AFT5. We're deeply sorry for this, as we know that quite a few users found the software very useful, and were using it on their articles.

We've now re-released the software, with the addition of a logging feature and restrictions on the ability to disable. Obviously, we're not going to automatically re-enable it on each article—we don't want to create a situation where it was enabled by users who have now moved on, and feedback would sit there unattended—but if you're interested in enabling it for your articles, it's pretty simple to do. Just go to the article you want to enable it on, click the "request feedback" link in the toolbox in the sidebar, and AFT5 will be enabled for that article.
