Your edits

edit

Hi, I reverted your edits to Thai Chinese#Surnames. Two points:

  • When you add a <ref> tag, you need to close it with a </ref> tag
  • That article is not the place for people to list their own names and surnames

If you have any questions please contact me on my talk page. Regards, cab (talk) 11:07, 18 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I see also you added yourself to List of overseas Chinese. Wikipedia is not the proper place for you to come to write an autobiography of yourself or to add your own name to lists of people. You already have your LinkedIn page for that. We have some guidelines to help editors avoid conflicts of interest; please take the time to read them. If you feel that as a result of your accomplishments you meet Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, contact me on my talk page. At minimum this would require significant independent media coverage of your work.
Also when you add a person's name to a list, it isn't necessary to place square brackets around every transcription of their name. Just placing brackets around the English version of their name will suffice. And finally, titles such as Dr., Ph.D., etc. should be placed outside of brackets:
Finallyy, when you add entries to lists of people, please cite reliable sources such as newspapers or books, which describe the accomplishments of the people in question. Thanks, cab (talk) 11:31, 18 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Formal warning

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to List of overseas Chinese, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Wikipedia is not the place for you to come to insert your own name into lists of people. Lists are for people who meet Wikipedia's inclusion criteria for articles by having multiple instances of non-trivial coverage about them in reliable sources such as newspapers and books cab (talk) 23:21, 18 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Overseas Chinese, you will be blocked from editing. Again, Wikipedia is not the place for you to come and insert your own name into lists of people. Those lists are intended for notable people about whom an encyclopedia article could be properly written. This is not LinkedIn or some other similar job site for you to build your own personal online presence. cab (talk) 00:09, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Do you have any reliable sources such as newspaper articles or scholarly books which discuss your involvement with the New Force Party? You cannot simply go on inserting your name into lists of people. These lists are intended for people who have Wikipedia articles about them already. cab (talk) 00:46, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you use Wikipedia for advertising, as you did with List of overseas Chinese, you will be blocked from editing. I've asked repeatedly that you provide reliable sources. Instead you've been ignoring these requests and just repeatedly reinserting your name and a link to your commercial website into that list. As stated before, this is not the proper usage of Wikipedia. cab (talk) 08:40, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
