Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:40, 16 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome! edit

Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, VimalaNowlis! I am Dougweller and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. Thank you for your contributions. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions check out Wikipedia:Questions, or feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or type {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. Again, welcome!

January 2011 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Moses are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. September 2012 edit

Hello, please make yourself familiar with the the talk page guidelines along with WP:SOAP and WP:NPOV and WP:OR. We are here to improve an encyclopedia, based on materials published by reliable sources, not to make personal commentary or spew our personal political opinions. -- The Red Pen of Doom 04:01, 9 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

April 2013 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:John Brown (abolitionist) are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you.   Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 03:53, 29 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

November 2013 edit

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use talk pages for inappropriate discussion, as you did at Talk:Moses, you may be blocked from editing. Elizium23 (talk) 16:53, 16 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

December 2014 edit

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use talk pages for inappropriate discussions. If you want to chat about the subjects covered in Wikipedia, there are many, many other websites on the internet where you can do that. Wikipedia talk pages are for discussing problems and improvements with regard to the articles. McGeddon (talk) 21:34, 18 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
