GNAA (trolling) & wikipedia care-taking

edit

the discussed text is put in a comment (see@edit-source) of this page. (i hope thats ok)

Consensus is against adding Gay Nigger Association of America to the GNAA disambig page. There has been a large consensus that they are not notable. Repeated re-adding of this entry will be seen as disruptive. Chillum 14:39, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

ok, sorry, i'm in no way affiliated (just an underground-internet nerd) and tried to make an as correct entry as possible. i saw your message as i was going to edit in a mention of wikipedias previous article that i found on web.archive.org (via ae). i should have realized to check the talk-page and of-course propose the sensitive entry there first. reading the wikipedia's article on about ae (encyclopedia dramatica) i realize that branch of the internet perhaps has its fair space here. once again sorry for my thoughtless behaviour --vike (talk) 14:52, 13 August 2009 (UTC) 00:21, 15 August 2009 (UTC) (yey, baby just found a new pair of tags)Reply

Thank you for your understanding. I am sorry if I sounded a bit snappy, that issue is a bit of a land mine around here that one can step on without realising. Chillum 16:01, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

someone has to correct the miss-lead, i have full understanding for that. after all they are somewhat of a hacking "pack" and they and/or their likes have probably caused wikipedia some trouble (one problem of open wiki:es/free speech)
by reading your talk-page i also understood your taking quite some care of wp, and i was eager to ask a question about how my trampling round the mines was alerted to you (mediaWiki builtin/extention-plugin/bots?), and if it was extra (along with the semi-protection tag i later saw) off-setting that i tried to insert the blocked url to encyclopedia dramatica - but i didnt know where to put it on your popular page ;] peace --vike (talk) 00:21, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
