Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Ved Mehta. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. -Vter4life 08:26, 12 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dear Sir, This is the third time I am correcting my entry in Wikipedia, which someone is repeatedly replacing with old, incorrect, incomplete information, assuming I am a vanal rather than the author. I'd like to get this resolved, since the I consider the misinformation in your original entry damaging. Of course you can revise the information I provide you, but I want the entry to be complete and accurate. If you wish to have confirmation that I am who I say I am, you can get my contact information from my website, www.vedmehta.com, and ring me. Yours faithfully, Ved Mehta

Well then! It's great to see that we can have a conversation about this article. First off, I posted the two warnings above because of the edits you made on January 11 and January 12; they at first appeared unconstructive and unencyclopedic in tone. I did see that your username is the same as the person in the article, but when I saw that in the past another user by the name of vedmehta also edited the article (in a very minor way that is similar to the current article) I couldn't assume that you were indeed the actual Ved Mehta. In any case, I should have assumed good faith in your edits, as most cases of blanking in the biographies of living persons are done in good faith. You are perfectly welcome to edit an article about yourself, but you should just keep in mind that the changes you make should follow the accepted writing style for biographies, using a neutral point of view, an encyclopedic tone and sourced material. If you have any questions or concerns about the article and potentially damaging material, you can go here for information about querying Wikipedia, or post on the Biographies of Living Persons Noticeboard. I hope you understand my initial actions with regards to your edits of the article; I was only concerned about the blanking as potential vandalism and the loss of encyclopedic content and tone. Anyway, feel free to contact me through my talk page or go through the outlets provided above if you have questions. Also, post on the talk page for the Ved Mehta article to make sure other users can see your thoughts; this way there can be some public discourse about its content. Happy editing!
