It would be interesting to add to this our understanding of how glacial lakes evolve through time, as well as our understanding of how glacial lakes are changing with climate change. Are we to expect more glacial lakes with ice retreat throughout coming years? Have more glacial lakes come about in the past 100 years with ice retreat? This draft describes the formation of glacial lakes and explains the impact of glacial lakes on ecosystems and human society, which is written in a neutral tone. It used several subtitles which make the structure of the article clearer and more concise, also the usage of pictures also makes the article less monotonous. Most of the sources are reliable which is from journal and books, and some of them are from the scientific website. In my opinion, using sentences rather than point form would better. In conclusion, this draft is excellent which contain specific details and easy for understanding.

Overall, the organization of this draft is really well done. It is both easy to follow, and has logical flow. There is a clear neutral tone throughout the article as well. There is no citation on the sentence: "The amount of sediment found in glacial lakes varies from four to six meters in depth, and has a general stratigraphic sequence of; organic muds, glacial clays, silty clays, and sands based on time of formation.", which seems like it might need a citation. I think maybe adding a climate-change section, or adding affects of climate change to the societal perspectives section would be an important addition to the article, to show the affects on climate change on the size and abundance of glacial lakes. -There are sentences such as "Since the deglaciation of the little ice age Earth has lost more than 50% of its glaciers. This along with the current increase in retreating glaciers caused by climate change has created a shift from frozen to liquid water, increasing the extent and volume of glacial lakes around the world" that are in need of citations since they are stating facts without evidence.

The sections on Biotic Ecosystem and Societal Perspectives are well written and very straight forward making them informative and easy to follow. The formation section is a little brief and it would be nice if factors that could affect formation were included if possible. The climate change section could be separated into its own heading, Otherwise a very concise addition to the Wikipedia article. Peer Review - Katrina Fries

This draft is clear and concise, written in a neutral tone. The addition of subtitle headings and pictures allow for easier understanding of the content. Inserting an image of a glacial deposit stratigraphic section would help supplement that section of the article. Also commenting on what exactly changes in the sedimentary deposits section would be good to add instead of just saying they change through time. Also changing the format from point form to sentences might make it easier to read.
