Speedy deletion nomination of Green Acres Middle School edit

A tag has been placed on Green Acres Middle School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. team6and7 (talk) 05:16, 23 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Green Acres Middle School edit

The article Green Acres Middle School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unnotable American Middle school.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. team6and7 (talk) 18:04, 23 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Re: Green Acres Middle School edit

Well, it's exempt from A7 for speedy deletion, but not from notability guidelines. For inclusion, a subject needs to meet criteria outlined in WP:Notability. The specific area you probably want to look at is WP:ORG, which outlines notability criteria for companies/groups/organizations. If you can demonstrate the school meets any of the listed inclusion criteria, you're good to go. A search of Google News can be one easy way to find reliable outside sources that have covered a topic, so that's often a good place to start! - Vianello (Talk) 21:02, 23 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Visalia Country Club Photo edit

Hi, My name is Tammi Hitchcock; I am in Payroll and H/R here at the Visalia Country Club. I have multiple duties here including making flyers and helping membership in creating projects. Your photograph on Wikipedia is of great interest to a member here at the club. There is a couple who are longtime members and is moving out of state. A group of friends at the club would like to make a large beautiful picture of your photograph on Wikipedia.

If possible, would you be able to e-mail, at the highest pixels available, the photograph on this site? We would greatly appreciate your efforts. Please email to tammihitchcock@visaliacc.org.

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
