**Hi! This is Upsilona's page**

Coolafancy edit

Hello, Upsilona. Regarding the reversions of my work at Coolboy and Coolafancy, I hope you will take a moment to understand the edits that were made and agree they were correct.

First, the former infobox template on both pages, {{Infobox place Ireland}}, is scheduled for deletion. This was carefully discussed and it was agreed that it be replaced with {{Infobox settlement}}, which is the standard Wikipedia template for places such as cities, towns and villages. I have been working across the Irish articles throughout the past few weeks, painstakingly updating the infoboxes to insure that they are done accurately and convey the same (or in some cases more) information as before. So, I am putting the newer infobox back in at Coolboy and Coolafancy.

With regard to the change from "Cross Patrick" to "Crosspatrick" which was then bolded: that was done because I did not find any maps that use "Cross Patrick", but I found several that use "Crosspatrick". See google.ie and especially Ordnance Survey Ireland. On the second link, OSI, on the right hand side of the window you can see a list of different historical maps to choose from, such as the current "Street Map (beta)", "Ortho 2005" and so on. Choosing any one of those four at the bottom of the list, you will see all name the area "Crosspatrick". Also, the well-researched official Placenames Database of Ireland shows that the Government of Ireland considers the names to be Cros Phádraig and Crosspatrick, one word. As a result, I created the redirect "Crosspatrick". Redirected titles are then bolded when used in the target lead paragraph. If you can find other sources which indicate Cross Patrick, then a redirect with that title should be created and you should then add it into the text as "or Cross Patrick on maps" with the cited source.

I am sincere in welcoming you to the project and offering assistance; my first few months here I spent primarily editing geography articles about towns and roads near where I live so I can appreciate your work, it is good to see. I am also sensitive to the needs of articles about Ireland and the Irish language. so will be glad to discuss this with you and help you with any questions you may have. Templates etc. follow up edit

I noticed you borrowed the style of Sarah777's talk page, perfectly alright you did that, many people find and adapt other user pages to their own style. But, there were a couple of technical issues that I followed behind to repair. The "User:MiszaBot/config" part that is within double braces "{{ }}" calls on the bot MiszaBotIII to automatically check your talk page each day and archive discussions older than a given time, configured in Sarah's case to "old(20d)" or twenty days. When you copied it here, you left the line in to archive (store in a subpage and remove) as "Sarah777". You also put it on your User page (you changed it to Upsilona) but it is not needed there, the bot only archives talk pages. I changed both for you to avoid confusion. Then, I revised the other template to which you added the flag of Scotland, to remove the "English variant" coding since it wasn't necessary once you altered it to include just your message. It is now a simple {{tmbox}} template, much neater. Hope you don't mind the follow up. Sswonk (talk) 05:55, 10 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
