Image copyrights

edit

I've noticed that you have uploaded quite a number of images related to Shenzhou with a notice stating that they are "... copyrighted. The copyright holder allows anyone to use it for any purpose." I was wondering what was your source for this license? Evil Monkey - Hello 01:50, 11 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have listed all the Shenzhou 6 images on Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images. Also since they lack source information, they can be deleted after seven days. Evil Monkey - Hello 22:38, 11 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Just saw your comment on my userpage. According to the copyrights laws of the PRC, the author of a work is the copyright holder, even if it was in the course of their work. Could you provide a link to a website that states these images are for free use? Evil Monkey - Hello 22:45, 11 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Removing tags

Hi. Just because an image has been freely used it does not mean that it is free use. Take for instance Image:WW2 Iwo Jima flag raising.jpg or Image:TrangBang.jpg. You should discuss this on PUI instead of unilaterally removing the notices from the image pages and the article.

Also, it is not recommended to have multiple usernames unless you have a good reason. See Wikipedia:Sock puppetry. Evil Monkey - Hello 20:34, 12 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
