Rangjung Yeshe wiki and other issues

Hi, thanks for your input to Wikipedia. I wanted to ask you about a few things. You've added a couple articles from the Rangjung Yeshe wiki at DharmaDictionary.org, and others have occasionally done the same. I've never been clear on what the copyright situation at that website is, as I mentioned here. Can you give any more information on this, or tell me who I can contact at DharmaDictionary.org? I'm afraid I was a bit hasty in reverting your addition to Rechungpa, but, eventually, if we can't establish the copyright status, we are going to have to exclude Rangjung Yeshe material from Wikipedia.

Rangjung / Erik Pema Kunsang is probably the best person to contact about rywiki issues as he is the publisher of the dictionary and the main editor of rywiki.[KT] 08:51, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

On Chöd, you added the English spelling "Shee Ché" for zhi-byed. This looks a little unusual, but it seems like a reasonable attempt to imply the correct pronunciation. There's been some discussion on Wikipedia of the best way to transcribe Tibetan names in a phonetic spelling. One suggestion was to use the system developed by the Chinese government, which would make bzhi-byed into "Xiqê".

tbh, I most likely got the transliteration from someone else's project. I personally do not use accented vowels. I would be unable to contribute using the system that the Chinese government developed.[KT] 08:51, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I'm not suggesting a precipitous change to the spelling. I think "Shije" is probably a more common spelling, but "Shee Ché" looks like it would give English-speakers a clearer idea of how it's pronounced.—Nat Krause^{(Talk!·What have I done?)} 22:38, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

I noticed you have a non-functiong {{User bo-1}} on your userpage. Tibetan Scouting

Can you help render "Be Prepared", the Scout Motto, into Tibetan script? Thanks! Chris 07:17, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

The phrase you have on the [[Scout Motto] article, "gtan gyi thugs rje" would be rendered as such in unicode. གཏན་གྱི་ཐུགས་རྗེ། and pronounced like something like "ten gyi tukje". Is this the way the motto is translated? The words mean something more along the lines of Always Compassionate. [KT] 06:38, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
