Your username

edit

Your username (Tsbstudents) does not appear to conform to Wikipedia's username policy, as it implies that more than one person (the students of The Students Bar group) will have access to it. Names that represent groups and organizations are also disallowed. Please consider changing your username or registering a new account. Leebo T/C 16:23, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

No I don't understand and I've actually sent an email to Ben W Bell about it saying that we do feel that our opinions should be put in the article as we feel that it doesnt constitute "vandalism" due to the fact that we are not insulting anyone or saying untrue things about the student bar.

All we say is true, it's for fun as well and its not insulting to anyone. it's our community and it would be appreciated if our voices can be heard on wikipedia as well without censoring what we think without giving us a reason.

Could you respond please?

Do you understand why I'm removing the material you are trying to add? It would help greatly if you talked about it. I've removed it 3 times now in a period of less than 24 hours, and I would be breaking the three revert rule if I removed it again. Please discuss it. Leebo T/C 22:05, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I did give you a reason. The material has no reliable source to allow readers to verify it. This is summed up in the policy Wikipedia:Attribution. It's also informally written and not encyclopedic. The article does not need to contain who's the most popular user on The Student Bar. Leebo T/C 22:19, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Also, this should be discussed on the article's talk page to get more opinions. Here is the discussion: Talk:University_of_Kent#The_Student_Bar. Leebo T/C 22:22, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
The edits also come under the grounds of Personal attacks, that alone is enough to have it removed. On top of that it is unencyclopaedic, opinionated, incorrect tone and not neutral. All of that is more than sufficient for it to not be included. In addition it has no sources, is unverifiable, represents details of a closed community and is generally not information suitable for a wide ranging worldwide serious and neutral encyclopaedia. Wikipedia is not a place for people to discuss what they want in whatever fashion they feel like it, WP:NOT. Ben W Bell talk 07:16, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
