James A. Lake

edit

I did a massive cleanup of the article. You should review several items before doing a new article: WP:BLP, WP:CITET, WP:MEDRS and WP:MEDMOS. My guess is that you are member of Lake's lab, and you wrote it like a fan piece someone would write for their favorite rock star. This is an encyclopedia (at least the articles I edit, not speaking for anyone else around), and we don't write in a familiar tone. James A. Lake should be referred to as Dr. Lake, or just Lake. In addition, though James A. Lake is quite notable, we don't go deeply into all of his research, and who he met and collaborated with, etc. Each one of his research interests belong in other articles. For example, endosymbiotic theory is almost all about Lynn Margulis, and obviously some of Lake's research belongs there. Besides, I don't like Lynn Margulis, given her AIDS denialism. Anyways, good first article, BUT, please read over my suggestions so that you can hit a home run on your next try. And remember, we are very careful with biographies, so everything needs to be cited carefully. OrangeMarlin Talk• Contributions 05:46, 2 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
