November 2008 edit

  If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Holy Trinity Sittingbourne, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. Ros0709 (talk) 21:26, 29 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of Interest edit

Thank you for your splendid efforts to create an article for Wikipedia about Holy Trinity Sittingbourne. There are sections of your article which are encyclopedia in nature, although elements require refencing. You really need to read about Conflict of interest on Wikipedia. This is important. As it stands elements of the article you are creating have a clear conflict of interest - the use of "our" for example. Please try and write more in the style of an encyclopedia - the first message on your talk page includes a number of useful links to show you how to do this -- Blue Square Thing (talk) 22:12, 29 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

The last warning notice above was given because of conflict of interest issues. You need to make sure that you have read the wikipedia policy on conflict of interest and stick to it please -- Blue Square Thing (talk) 21:05, 30 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a short time in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for engaging in an edit war. Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. Toddst1 (talk) 21:24, 30 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Holy Trinity Sittingbourne edit

I have reverted the latest changed you have made to this article on the grounds that they are unreferenced (see WP:V and WP:RS) and due to your WP:COI. Possible ways forward would be to discuss your proposed changes on the article talk page first, or take this to WP:COIN. Please remember that the purpose of the encyclopaedia is to provide a dispassionate account of the subject, not promote it. In that context, the service times really are unimportant (and to keep supplying them is very much evidence that you are promoting the subject), but the Activities section you added may be far more relevant.

I would advise against edit warring as you did leading up to your temporary block. I am not an admin and am unable to block you myself and will have no say in any future action. But given that you clearly have a conflict of interest and have not contributed to any other article (WP:SPA) it would consider it likely that a future block, if issued, would be long term or permanent. Proposed deletion of Holy Trinity Sittingbourne edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Holy Trinity Sittingbourne, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
